Salman AsifSenior full-stack engineer.
I build product systems from the interface down to the service boundary. My work brings clarity to complex enterprise workflows, reliable behavior to mobile products, and a careful approach to the infrastructure behind them.
Selected engineering work
Metadata-driven connectors
Turning connector-specific forms into a reusable, schema-driven product system.
Discovery & data workflows
Predictable interfaces for long-running scans, cancellation, recovery, and service state.
Build & delivery modernization
A compatibility-first Rsbuild/Rspack proof of concept for an established Vue 2 platform.
CargoBarn
API-backed mobile workflows built for a logistics product.
Experience
Dec 2025 — PresentVeeam · Securiti AISenior Software EngineerUnited States (company HQ)
Cross-stack ownership in enterprise privacy, data security, governance, and AI-trust products.
- Trace production failures across Vue/Vuex, API contracts, and Go/Python service behavior.
- Make long-running scan and integration states explicit, deterministic, and recoverable.
- Lead implementation planning, review code, coordinate teams, and support release verification.
Sep 2024 — Nov 2025Securiti.aiSenior Software EngineerUnited States (company HQ)
Led frontend workstreams and cross-stack coordination for enterprise connector and data-platform features.
- Re-architected connector configuration into a metadata-driven UI engine.
- Led the Rsbuild/Rspack migration proof of concept for a Vue 2/Webpack 4 application.
- Isolated provider-instance state and improved optimistic workflows, rollback, and error handling.
Nov 2022 — Sep 2024Securiti.aiSoftware Development EngineerUnited States (company HQ)
Built resilient product behavior across discovery, cloud connectors, catalog, and permissions workflows.
- Aligned pagination, filters, status enums, and validation behavior with backend service teams.
- Delivered API-driven UI with intentional loading, partial, retry, and permission-denied states.
May 2021 — Nov 2022KoderLabsSoftware EngineerKarachi, Pakistan
Web and mobile delivery across logistics, community, and client product teams.
- Delivered React, React Native, and Ionic product features, including CargoBarn and Halal Connection.
- Built shared hooks and components; coordinated requirements, reviewed code, and improved runtime performance.

System design
Request routing & scaling
A router sends work to healthy replicas. Availability depends on health signals as well as capacity.
Data modeling & queries
Choose a relational or document view and trace a lookup. Model data around access patterns and consistency needs.
Caching
Read from the source once, then serve a cached value until it expires. Avoid repeated source work while making freshness explicit.
Background jobs
Queue a job, retry a failed attempt and suppress duplicate work. Long-running work should survive transient failures.
Authentication & authorization
Identify the caller, then check permission to perform an admin action. Being signed in is different from being allowed to act.
Delivery & observability
Follow a change through tests, build, deployment and a traced request. Checks and observable outcomes help teams detect and recover from failures.
Selected evidence
Writing
Modernize the build. Keep the product steady.
Why a tooling proof of concept should be designed around compatibility, not a headline speedup.
The interface is only half the state machine.
A practical model for making long-running work, cancellation, and recovery understandable.
A 3D portfolio should still work without 3D.
The most important layer in an immersive experience is the one that loads before the canvas.
